REACH

Due to many inquiries, we herewith would like to inform you about the latest REACH developments as well as the present approach of FELDER GMBH to this topic:

  • It was already in early 2007 when we started to ask our suppliers if they would shortly pre-register all chemicals that were supplied to us. After a renewed request in January 2008, all of our suppliers have confirmed us to do so. However, in the second half of this year we are going to conduct a respective re-examination
    of our suppliers.
  • The REACH Candidate List of Priority Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC, according to article 57) is controlled by our specialists regularly. If we then find chemicals that are included in our products, we will undertake the appropriate steps immediately.
  • It is to be expected that some chemicals will not be registered due to cost reasons. That is why we have obligated our suppliers to inform us at least 12 month prior to the chemical‘s production stop. Hence our developers have sufficient time to find chemical substitutes for the products you buy and to carry out the necessary formulation changes.
  • For the ultimate registration, the REACH directive grants a timeframe till the year 2010 / 2013 to the chemical producers / importers. That is the reason why we cannot
include the registration number into our safety data sheet before the real registration takes place.
