FELDER ISO-Flux® "ELR 3420" is a halide-free, no-clean flux based on alcohol for the automatic soldering of circuit boards with standard and SMD-mounting in connection with lead-containing and lead-free standard electronic solders. It shows very good activation characteristics on the wetting surfaces and leads to very good solder wetting. Furthermore, ISO-Flux® "ELR 3420" has excellent spreading properties on all common solder surfaces. ISO-Flux® "ELR 3420" has been especially developed for the purpose of an inertisation of organic surfaces as well as against blob development during the automatic soldering process. Particulary for photopolymere solder resist masks, for dual component solder resist masks as well as untreated basis material. As far as possible, this flux prevents through its special formulation the corresponding development mechanism or an affinity at the interfaces, respectively. The malfunction risk potential of the surface mounted assembly by moving blobs is extremly minimised. Cost intensive reworks are reduced. ISO-Flux® "ELR 3420" is highly temperature stable and therefore very suitable for the lead-free soldering technology.
