Responsible and fair metal management
We do not regard environmental protection as a “necessary evil”, but see it as our responsibility to use the available resources sparingly and carefully.
It is particularly important to us that environmental protection runs through all areas of the company. We believe that this is the only way to achieve sustainable development for the benefit of all employees, customers and partners.
We are therefore constantly on the lookout for innovative solutions to remove hazardous substances from our products or at least reduce them to a minimum, as well as the emissions produced. We have state-of-the-art filter technology at our disposal for this purpose. We also operate a seamless and consistent recycling system for the reuse of metal ash and dross and only use recyclable packaging.
However, we have not just recently started thinking “green” - we have been producing our environmentally friendly lead-free solders and solder pastes for 20 years. We have been very successful with our environmentally friendly concepts in the electrical industry in particular, but also in other branches of industry. For the most part, we use pure tin grades from producers who are committed to both good working conditions for their employees and environmental conditions within the mining areas. The wages of all employees must be sufficient to guarantee their families a carefree future. For this reason, one of our preferred tin producers is a company from Peru whose corporate philosophy is based on transparency and therefore on environmental protection, occupational safety and fair working conditions. In particular, customers who have the highest demands on purity (especially low Pb values < 50 ppm) or a European origin receive solders from European electrolytically extracted tin from us.
The same applies to recycling: for many years, our tried-and-tested take-back system for non-ferrous metal waste has ensured that our customers can fully rely on the professional recycling of their metal production waste. Together with the specialist disposal company from our branch in southern Germany, almost all non-ferrous metal waste, such as dross, ash or swarf, can be professionally recycled.
To protect our employees, customers and end consumers and, of course, in the interests of a clean environment, we place high demands on ourselves and our work: our special crucible coatings and production processes guarantee absolutely high-purity alloys. In addition, all our products are subject to in-house laboratory testing. Using the latest analytical equipment, such as emission spectrometers and IR spectrophotometers, we monitor the entire production process seamlessly. We are happy to provide our customers with help and advice on environmental protection as far as we can. For example, we also offer the monitoring of your soldering systems by means of regular solder bath analyses.
We have therefore adopted the following binding principles in order to guarantee these high standards in the long term:
